Autism Speaks Walk 2010
Community Counseling will be supporting the Autism Speaks Walk 2010 in NYC. Support research for treatments and advocacy by donating, registering to walk for our team, or forming your on team. For additional information visit our team page at: 2010 Walk Now for Autism Speaks.

Book Bag Drive
Community Counseling is conducting a School Supplies Drive to support the education of children in local afterschool programs. The following donations are being accepted now through Saturday September 5th:

All attendees will be entered into a raffle for a lia sophia collectible jewelry piece!
2008 Holiday Clothing and Toy Drive
Community Counseling's Annual Clothing and Toy Drive has begun! From now until December 13, 2008, we will be collecting new and gently used clothing, toys, and books geared towards children ages 5-12. The items collected will be shipped to Canouan Government School in the West Indies and distributed to the 140 students that attend the school. Click here for further information.

Christmas in Rwanda
The clinicians of Community Counseling came together to support a project called Christmas in Rwanda. This year we were able to send 12 boxes of clothing, toys, and books to impoverished children in Rwanda, many of who are orphaned and affected by diseases such as HIV and malaria. The drive was completed on December 1, 2007 with a holiday party hosted by Keisha Cox, LCSW, MS and Milagros M. Gonzales, LCSW. You can see a video clipping of Christmas in Rwanda on Youtube.

Sister to Sister Healthy Weekend Extravaganza
On Semptember 15, 2007, Community Counseling participated in Sister to Sister's 13th Annual Health Symposium, themed "Sisters Beating the Odds & Claiming Wellness '07: Balancing the Total You!" Community Counseling promoted the importance of maintaining mental health by providing attendees with free information about sustaining mental health and accessing mental health services.
